Pastor Andrew joined the Calvary team in December 2009 and is grateful to be a partner in this Spirit-filled congregation. His focus areas are discipleship, adult education, and outreach, but he also shares general pastoral responsibilities, like pastoral care, preaching, worship, and teaching.
Pastor Andrew is a native of northwestern Minnesota, where he grew up on a farm near Fergus Falls. He graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, MN, and from Luther Seminary in St. Paul, MN. His pastoral internship was in Cairo, Egypt, where he served a small expatriate congregation and worked closely with the Sudanese refugee community. Pastor Andrew also has experience in various social work-type settings. Through Lutheran Volunteer Corps, he taught in an adult education center in Washington, D.C., and worked in an addiction recovery center in Seattle, WA. He also spent a year in south India as a member of a l'Arche community, with people who have developmental disabilities.
